DRad: Deradicalisation in Europe and Beyond: Detect, Resolve, Reintegrate

D.Rad is a comparative study of radicalisation and polarisation in Europe and beyond. It aims to identify the actors, networks, and wider social contexts driving radicalisation, particularly among young people in urban and peri-urban areas.

Previvorship in the platform society: Cancer genetic risk in the digital age

Funding: Leverhulme Trust

This project focuses on 'previvorship', or the condition of coping with a genetic predisposition to cancer prior to cancer occurrence. It explores if, how and to what extent the governance and design of western social media platforms shape the way previvorship is lived, performed and understood.

Exclusion and Inequality in Late Working Life (EIWO)

EIWO aims to push the boundaries of knowledge about late working life and the potential of its inclusive and equal prolongation via a theoretically driven, gender-sensitive combination of multi-level perspectives. Through gaining an in-depth understanding of how earlier life courses influence and structure perceptions and accumulations of inequality and disadvantage, it will provide evidence for policies to ensure both individual, company and societal benefits from longer working lives.

Digital DC

Digital Donor Conception

Funding: Wellcome Trust
The Digital DC (short for Digital Donor Conception) project is a four year research study, which explores the practice of informal donor conception (IDC) in the digital age. We aim to develop knowledge about this growing method of having a family, understand the factors which shape people's views and experiences of it and ultimately improve support and outcomes for those who use IDC and their families.
