What's your career?

I'm the Employee Engagement and Relations Advisor at HS2 Ltd, Bedford UK, after graduating on their Communications and Engagement Graduate scheme

I did multiple placements across the organisation including Internal Communications, Employee Engagement, and External Communications. On completion of my graduate scheme, I started in my current role and work within the Employee Engagement team to support the staff survey and Values Awards programme.

Many of us struggle with imposter syndrome but there is plenty of support out there for people looking to grow their career - say yes to every opportunity you can and worry about how you're going to do it afterwards! You'll surprise yourself with what you can achieve. One of my career highlights so far is becoming a trained #IAmRemarkable facilitator and supporting people with growing their confidence and celebrating their achievements.

A happy memory of my time at Sheffield is Completing my own 'Sheffield bucket list' at the end of my final year. Swimming in Crookes Valley is a must!
