Project overview

EU-CoWork aims to:

  • explore and understand the influence of changing workplace organization due to the twin transitions on wellbeing, performance, job quality, and work culture for employees confronted with serious illness, family caregiving, death, dying and loss (EoL experiences) and their colleagues
  • develop and evaluate tailored Compassionate Workplaces Programs (CWPs) as health promotion strategies to maintain and support employee health and wellbeing in the work environment, across different national and labour contexts in Europe

The project is funded by Horizon Europe and led by Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Professor Karina Nielsen is the work package leader on the evaluation and will develop and validate measures for evaluation the interventions according to the principles of realist evaluation. This evaluation framework seeks to answer the questions of “what works for whom in which circumstances”.
