The National Student Survey results for 2009 place Sheffield top in the UK for overall satisfaction with Journalism. 95 per cent of our final year students agreed that they were satisfied with the quality of their course – the highest score achieved by any Journalism department in the country.

In the 2008 RAE, three-quarters (75%) of the department´s research outputs was graded as 4* or 3*, that is, 'world-leading' (8%) or 'internationally excellent' (67%).

Latest news

New MA degree programmes for 2010

We will be launching three new MA degree programmes in the next academic year. These new programmes are MA in Global Journalism, MA in International Political Communication and MA in Journalism and History. The degrees will be running as from September 2010, alongside the existing MAs in Print, Magazine, Broadcast and Web Journalism. More information to follow shortly.
