The University is pleased to offer a range of scholarships to students from Iran who show exceptional academic potential and are starting their studies at the University of Sheffield in September 2012.

Postgraduate Scholarships eg MA, MSc
The University offers a range of scholarships for Iran students who show exceptional academic potential starting a postgraduate taught masters programme at the University of Sheffield in September 2012.
Iran Sheffield Scholarships 2012
We are pleased to offer the Iran Sheffield Scholarship 2012 to all Iranian students commencing a Taught Masters programme in September 2012.
The scholarships are:
- £1,000 each for students studying Nanotechnology courses (jointly run with the University of Leeds)
- £1,500 each for students paying fees between £12,160 - £13,990
- £2,000 each for students paying fees of £13,991 and upwards
Eligibility and award criteria:
- You must hold an offer of a study place and begin your postgraduate taught masters programme in September 2012.
- You must be an Iranian national or permanently domiciled in Iran.
- You must be self-funding and classified as overseas for fee purposes.
- The scholarships will be awarded automatically - no application is required.
- The scholarships will take the form of a tuition fee reduction.
Iran Merit Postgraduate Scholarships 2012 (£6,500)
There are two Iran Merit Postgraduate Scholarships 2012, available for Iranian students starting their postgraduate taught masters programme in September 2012.
To be eligible for the Iran Merit Postgraduate Scholarships 2012, applicants must be an Iranian national or permanently domiciled in Iran, apply for a study place by Friday 20 April 2012 and hold an offer of a study place for entry in September 2012.
The Iran Merit Postgraduate Scholarships 2012 are awarded on the basis of academic merit.
If you wish to be considered for this scholarship you need to apply. Eligible students will automatically be sent details of how to apply from January 2012 onwards.
Applicants cannot apply for the scholarship before being offered a study place at Sheffield.
The deadline for applications is Friday 27 April 2012; the results will be announced on Friday 1 June 2012.
Postgraduate research degrees eg PhD, MPhil
The University of Sheffield does not offer research studentships specifically for Iranian students. There are, however, studentships and funding for which students from Iran can apply.
