Our microbiologists lead fundamental and translational research directed at better understanding this complex microflora in order to prevent or more effectively treat microbial diseases. They also work extensively in larger, multi-disciplinary national and international teams to develop and translate innovative antimicrobial technologies, and we are linked to the Florey Institute for host-pathogen interactions.
