4C

A student must pass MEC401 (Individual Project) at the first attempt in order to be eligible for the award of the Degree of MEng in Mechanical Engineering with Biomechanics. A student who fails to satisfy this requirement may be awarded the Degree of BEng in Mechanical Engineering (MECU002).

5

A student must satisfy the requirements of the General Regulations for First Degrees in the Faculty of Engineering as to progression in order to continue as a student for the Degree of MEng in Mechanical Engineering with Biomechanics (MECU018). A student who fails to satisfy these requirements may be permitted by the Faculty to become instead a student for the Degree of BEng in Mechanical Engineering (MECU002). In this instance the individual element of the Group Design Project (MEC307) will be taken into account to satisfy the requirement to complete an individual project. A student must pass this element to satisfy the requirements for the award of a BEng Honours degree. A student who fails to satisfy this requirement will be ineligible for the award of the Degree with Honours.
