As a University of Sheffield graduate, you can continue to use many of our services for as long as you need us*. Whether you're at the beginning of your journey and unsure where to start, or would like advice with job applications or interviews, we're here to help.
Join our Early Careers Network
Connect with other graduates by joining our newly launched online community, exclusively open to University of Sheffield alumni, to:
- Stay connected with other recent graduates and build your network - you never know where it might lead;
- Keep updated on career opportunities, employability events, graduate jobs, and support;
- Get tips and insights from Employability Advisers and other alumni on how to thrive in your early career.

How to access support
You can access a wider range of career support, in a way that suits you:
- Chat with us through our live chat service, or by calling 0114 222 0910 (available 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday)
- Join in-person and online employer events, workshops, and webinars on a range of career-related topics
- Drop into the Employability & Placements Hub, Students’ Union on Level 3 (opposite Proper Pasty) (open 10am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday)
- Book a careers appointment via Career Connect
- Activate your graduate account on Career Connect to view vacancies and access support (see our quick step-by-step guide to find out how).
There is additional support available should you have complex personal circumstances that are impacting your career planning, applications, or interviews. Speak to us to find out more.
*Please note: if you’ve registered on a course or research programme at another UK Higher Education institution after leaving the University of Sheffield, you should use the services available at your new institution.
