Maple
For Maple licenses for stand-alone machines please see software renewal pages via the RHS links.
The next expiry/renewal date for the Maple licenses is end of August 2012.
Maple 15 DVD's will be available from the computer centre by end of August 2011..
Sheffield University holds a site license for Maple 'Computer Algebra Software' with license extensions to resell the product to its students. This way, staff, students and individual departments can have Maple running on their own hardware.
Maple can run on Unix/Linux/Mac and Windows platforms and it is currently available on the Managed Windows XP service and on the central Unix HPC server iceberg.
Versions 1o & 13 & 14 & 15 are being used around the campus.
DVDs for installing the latest version of Maple ( Version 15 ) will shortly be made available to Staff and Students for Windows, Macintosh, Linux or Sun Solaris platforms from the "Main Computer Centre". Students are allowed to install Maple on their own computers.
If you are using an earlier version of Maple and would like to upgrade to Version 15, you will need to obtain the latest Maple DVD from the Computer Centre "after mid-august 2011" and install it using the installation-codes by following the link to the Sheffield WRGRID Maple License page on the right-hand-side of this page.
