Compilers

Unix/Linux: We have a number of floating licenses for the Portland Group Fortran and C Compilers (PGI ) and also Intel Fortran & C Compilers which are used extensively on the 'iceberg' cluster.
We also use and support the gnu C, C++ , f77 and f90 compilers on iceberg.

We recommend the PGI compilers ( pgf77, pgf90, pgcc, pgCC ) on iceberg for new projects.
If you prefer to use the GNU compilers, see the list of GNU compilers currently available on iceberg.

The following links are to the full documentation on the compilers in secure areas where you may be asked to supply a username and password.

MS Windows: We have site license for the Salford Fortran 95 and C compilers.
These compilers can now be downloaded from
The Research Computing Secure Software Download Area .
