GP Training Practices

There are currently 30 training practices attached to the Sheffield Scheme. It is hoped to increase this number over the next few years.

There are profiles available for all the practices, where you can read and download a copy of the practice information.

Profiles for training practices

The GPSTP office also has confidential practice assessment forms available, which give feedback from GPStRs who have trained at these practices.

Palliative Care

We have 2 x 4 months posts based at St Luke's Hospice and one x 6 months post based at the Northern General Hospital.

Whilst the contract for the one of the posts at St Luke's is issued by STHT, the contract for the other post is issued by the Hospice. Although St. Luke's will honour the NHS pension contributions for the period of the contract, not all of the NHS benefits are transferable and there may be a break in the trainee´s NHS contract which will have an impact on length of service. For further information regarding the terms of the contract with St Luke's please contact Lisa Nos, HR Manager.
