The Sheffield General Practice Specialty Training Programme (formerly Vocational Training Scheme or VTS) aims to help trainees acquire the knowledge, skills and attributes required for modern General Practice.
We encourage participants to take responsibility for their own learning in training posts and GPSTP groups.
The programme offers a wide variety of hospital posts and general practice placements.
These web pages contain information on training to be a general practitioner, as well as details of the application process.
For trainees already attached to the programme and for the tutors and trainers, there is a wide range of information available in the Resources section.
Much of the documentation is available for you to download, either in Word, Excel or PDF format. You can download Acrobat Reader, the PDF viewer, from the link box on the right of this page.
