The University of Sheffield's Mission, Vision and Identity
In the first half of 2010, the University launched a consultation across all faculties and departments about the Mission, Vision and Identity (MV&I) document. This is an update of 2006's Our Shared Vision and is intended to reflect the core values of the University.
The consultation was led by Faculty PVCs and Heads of Department. As part of it, we were keen to capture examples of work in your area which reflect the guiding principles. The final version of the Mission, Vision and Identity (MV&I) text can be downloaded from the Quick List menu to the right of this page.
The guiding principles from the MV&I will be used to structure and illustrate the University's Strategic Plan, which is currently being developed. This plan will outline our strategy and key objectives for the coming five years.
