University of Sheffield Urban Agriculture Research Portal

Urban agriculture (UA) consists of natural resource-based livelihoods – including agroforestry, crop cultivation, livestock husbandry and aquaculture – that are located in the urban space.
Urban and peri-urban agriculture (UPA) also includes the geographical areas of the urban fringe or the peri-urban interface (PUI), where zones are characterised by rapid transitional change and sprawling urbanisation.
University of Sheffield Urban Agriculture Research Portal was established in 2009 and provides an online focal point for urban agriculture project networking and the dissemination of international urban agriculture research.
