Who are the Student Officers?
The student officers are eight students, elected by the whole student population, who work full time at the Students' Union for a year.

At the next meeting* (10/5/12 1715 in the Tapestry Room, Firth Court), Students' Union Council will:

Vote on proposals for new Students' Union policy (viewable here):
- International Fees
- Anti-Sexism
- PG Students
- Gender Quotas for NUS Delegate Elections
- Appoint up to 4 student members of the Trustee Board
- Receive the final update from the Students' Union Officers on progress towards their objectives
- Set up a working group to look at how the Students' Union can involve under-represented students more
- Voted to pass a policy on the living wage
- Scrutinised the Students' Union Officers

What is Students' Union Policy?
The policies of the Students' Union are a statement of the beliefs of the organisation on key issues. They can be a statement of the Students' Union’s position or a commitment to doing things a certain way or to campaign on a particular issue.
What is a Referendum?
Referenda are the way that we make big decisions about the future of the Students' Union. They are a vote of all students on a single question.
