The student officers are eight students, elected by the whole student population, who work full time at the Students' Union for a year.
The policies of the Students' Union are a statement of the beliefs of the organisation on key issues.
They can be a statement of the Students' Union's position, or a commitment to doing things in a certain way or campaign on a particular issue.
Our policies are made democratically and they are binding on the Students' Union. Policies must go through either a referendum of Students' Union Council and require a significant consultation with students. Policies last for 3 years, after this time they are reviewed by the Students' Union Officers and Students' Union Council.
