Hi there - I'm currently taking a year out from my medical degree to proudly be your Welfare Officer. I've loved holding welfare related roles for the past four years including sitting on the SU's Welfare Committee, which I would encourage everyone with an interest and at least one hour of their entire year, to try!
Unfortunately, with only one year and the many other interesting responsibilities of being an officer, it leaves limited time to dedicate to personal objectives. However I hope to continue the work of previous Welfare officers and make a small impact of my own. Our typical day might include the Student Advice Centre, University Support Services, Nursery, Counselling service, safety, housing, health, finance... The list goes on.
Like the other officers, I've been elected to represent the individual or groups of students on many general issues! Always feel free to drop me an email at welfare.officer@sheffield.ac.uk.
Coming soon...
