Who are the Student Officers?

The student officers are eight students, elected by the whole student population, who work full time at the Students' Union for a year.

Election Results 2013

A massive 8996 students turned out and voted in this year’s Students’ Union Officer Elections, beating 2012's total by over 400 votes.

The results were announced at the Results Party in Bar One on Thursday night, with Forge broadcasting the proceedings live throughout the evening.

The following are the results of the Students' Union Officer Elections 2013 (produced by our independent voting system). Congratulations to all our winners:

Jessica Ennis (to be confirmed on her acceptance of the position)

  • 2012 Olympic Heptathlon gold-medallist
  • Nominated for bringing Sheffield "firmly into the spotlight with her heptathlon Gold at last year's Olympics" and for her dedication to local charities
