Who are the Student Officers?
The student officers are eight students, elected by the whole student population, who work full time at the Students' Union for a year.
Student-Led Campaigns Fund
Calling all student campaigners! Are you a member of a campaigning society or group which has a fantastic idea that your current budget won't stretch to?
All student campaigning groups can make a bid to access money from the student-led campaigns fund. There's £1000 available over the course of the academic year, and societies and groups can bid for up to £100 per proposal.
Bids will be judged by the Representation and Democracy department, and will be approved by the Students' Union's Student Officers. The aim of the campaigns fund is to benefit a wide range of campaigning groups, and to this end money will be distributed as widely as possible across different societies.
The criteria for receiving money from the student led campaigns fund is as follows:
- It will have a positive impact on the campaign's cause;
- The campaigning group or society must not use the money for activities which contradict existing Students' Union policy;
- The money will contribute directly to the objectives of the campaigning group or society.
