Who are the Student Officers?

The student officers are eight students, elected by the whole student population, who work full time at the Students' Union for a year.

I WANT CHANGE!

How Can I Start a Campaign?

How can I make a change?

Campaigning is all about making a change to the world around you. As Gandhi said, "Be the change you wish to see."

A campaign to raise awareness has to have the end goal of making a difference, rather than just communicating information to an audience.

Campaigning cannot be done in isolation. You will need to work with others who are committed to making the same change as you.

At any point in your campaign whether it's in the planning or evaluating stages you can come to the Representation and Democracy department for help and support from Esta, the Campaigns and Engagement coordinator, or by e-mailing campaigns@sheffield.ac.uk.

At Sheffield Students' Union, students come together in a variety of ways to make change for students and in the wider world.

As well as getting involved in campaigning, you can be the change you want to see by becoming a Course Rep, Students' Union Councillor, Student Officer, or simply by submitting a petition, or putting forward an idea to one of our Ideas Forums.
