Who are the Student Officers?
The student officers are eight students, elected by the whole student population, who work full time at the Students' Union for a year.
You Run Us
Every student at the University of Sheffield is automatically a member of Sheffield Students' Union.
We are run by you, our members, and every member of Sheffield Students' Union has a right to have a say in how we are run and there are many ways for you to get involved.
Each year you elect the 8 Students' Union Officers to work full-time to work and campaign for students in Sheffield and oversee the work of the Students' Union.
At the start of each academic year you elect a student from each department and representative group to speak up for students and make decisions on the work and future of the Students' Union, and all of our big decisions are made through a vote of all students in a referendum.
