Goal Eight: Be at the forefront of environmental best practice, and we will encourage and enable our members to do likewise. |
This will be achieved by:
- Making environmental issues within the Students' Union building and beyond a priority for the Students' Union.
- The Students' Union winning awards for its approach to environmental issues.
- Running effective campaigns to engage students and staff in environmental issues.
- Identifying the routes to environmental excellence setting clear realistic targets.
- Positively transforming the attitudes and behaviour of our students so they become champions of environmental best practice.
- Making funds and resources available to achieve environmental best practice.
- Consolidating and creating new policies within the Students' Union and create a process for benchmarking each strand.
- Making sure the new build reflects our commitment to be at the forefront of environmental best practice.
