VISION 2012

Goal Three: Create a positive and high performance culture, where staff enjoy working and their potential is realised so that they contribute fully to our success.

This will be achieved by:

  • Encouraging staff to be proactive in mapping out their development.
  • Training and coaching staff to understand how to deliver a quality service on time, in the right place, and with the right attitude.
  • Using up to date technology to support staff in delivering a quality service.
  • Encouraging teamwork as a way of achieving better results.
  • Having flexible ways of working that recognise people have a life beyond work.
  • Having clear and motivating goals for staff, with managers providing the right support to achieve them, monitoring performance and giving feedback.
  • Introducing processes that realise and unlock the potential of staff.
  • Consistently involving and engaging all our staff across the organisation.
  • Recognising and rewarding everybody's contribution to the Students' Union.
  • Embedding consistent values-led working throughout the organisation.
  • Developing recruitment processes to deliver an exceptional and diverse workforce
