Stand up comedian and BBC Radio 1 presenter Tom Deacon, the 2007 winner of Chortle's Student Comedian Award has made a real impact on the national comedy scene, with his undeniable stage presence and slick timing.
Starting out presenting on BBC Switch, Tom has appeared in Edinburgh and Beyond (Comedy Central), and Edinburgh Festival's longest running group comedy show, The Comedy Zone, which previously launched the careers of Dave Gorman, Harry Hill, Stewart Lee, Al Murray and Ross Noble.
Tom now has his own Radio One Show every Sunday from 7pm and features music and chat from celebrity guests. Tom can also be seen performing stand up on the new BBC Two show The Rob Brydon Show.
Joining Tom tonight is the brilliant Carl Donnelly, described by The SundayTimes as an "Excellent, fast-rising comic with pacy anecdotal routines"
Carl won Chortle Best Newcomer 2007 and quickly became a regular at the finest comedy clubs in the UK and Ireland.
In 2009, Carl performed his debut solo show for which he was nominated for the 'Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Newcomer'. He's appeared on Mock The Week, Dave's One Night Stand, Stand Up for the Week and Russell Howard's Good News.
