The Future 2012-16

Sheffield Students' Union is constantly developing, aiming to deliver the best student experience to all of its members.

To achieve this, the Students' Union members and staff develop a strategic plan to help guide the organisation through the changing landscape of the next few years.

This is the consultation phase and runs from October 2011 – December 2011. Following a tender process, Red Brick Research were chosen to assist the Students' Union during the consultation period.

Over a 3 month period both students and staff were contacted to feedback on certain themes and ideas.

This feedback was collected via:

• > A student survey (Oct 2011)
• > A staff survey (Oct 2011)
• > Ideas café for staff (Dec 2011)
• > On line focus groups with students (Dec 2011)

In January 2012 the Students' Union, armed with all the information from the consultation, will develop the strategic plan for 2012 – 2016.

From this plan each area of the Students' Union will develop a business plan to ensure the aims of the plan a re-achieved.
