I have been a student at the University for four years, and realise the importance of the SU council. Like all groups it’s vital that postgraduate students have their needs represented. If elected I will:
- Aim to increase postgraduate-only study space.
- Work with the Union to create a network to help new postgraduates to Sheffield find accommodation and housemates.
- Improve on the Union’s environmental index rating and ethical policies.
I have a lot of experience within the Union and NUS, and so I am an excellent candidate.

I’m standing because I think Union Council needs more Labour supporting members! The Labour Party is easily the best party in Britain, without it we wouldn’t have the NHS, properly funded Universities, the minimum wage, civil partnerships, the Open University, devolution, free theatre tickets for under 26 year olds and lots more! Not to mention that as everybody knows Gordon Brown has saved the world’s financial system in the last year. Basically we’re better than the do-nothing Tories and the flip-flopping Liberal Democrats!

I’m looking to make a difference. From travelling the world to working in an office, playing sports to playing music, I have always given my all, pushing to have the right decisions made on issues that matter. Why, after many arduous undergraduate years, we decided to continue our education; to better ourselves, to gain employment, to make a difference!
