Walkley

Just north of Crookes is Walkley, a less highly populated student area than many of its neighbours, but still provides a great student experience for those that live there, just 15 minutes walk from the University of Sheffield. Walkley has numerous amenities for students that do live there, with a number of good pubs. On the other hand, if you fancy an alternative night-out, Cabaret Boom Boom is a live entertainment organisation native to Walkley since 2005. Every year, locals gather for the annual Walkley Festival, the perfect showcase for local workshops, exhibitions, and local upcoming bands playing live music. Held all over Walkley, it shouldn’t be missed. MS
