Sheffield RAG shortlisted for National RAG Awards

Sheffield RAG (Raising and Giving) has been shortlisted in four categories for the National RAG Awards. 

The award scheme is supported by the NUS and aims to provide recognition to some of the amazing students who are involved in RAG activities at universities around the UK and further afield.

Sheffield RAG have been shortlisted for the 'Community Impact' award, which recognises the RAG with the greatest impact on their local community relative to their overall fundraising total. 

They've also been shortlisted for the prestigious RAG of the Year award! 

Sheffield RAG's '24hour Geek-a-thon' event with NODDSoc has also been short-listed for 'Most Innovative Event', whilst 'Bummit', the trans-European hitchike run RAG's 'Bummit' Committee has been shortlisted for 'Best Event'. 

The results will be announced at the annual RAG Conference at the beginning of September.

Sheffield RAG supports student fundraising and this year raised over £174,627 for charity, with 82% going to local causes. They supported over 110 societies, clubs and individuals to fundraise and organised more than 138 fundraising events.
