Red brick it may be, but take a walk around The University of Sheffield and you'll discover foundations built on stranger materials. Around the world, from classrooms and libraries to Chihuahuan deserts and amazonian rain forests, our lecturers, teachers and researchers are pushing the edge of our understanding and exploring everything from nanotechnology jeans to stars – a universe of knowledge that students benefit from every day.

Inspiration & Co brings this universe into a single room.

On Wednesday 7th November we're inviting you to join us for the launch of a new project. A place made of ideas. Working with the Discover and Understand project at The University of Sheffield, we're creating a series of talks that bring the most inspiring, thoughtful and surprising thinking in the University into focus and within reach of every student.

Ambitious and exploratory, Inspiration & Co. gives students access to the inspiring research and innovation of the University's world-leading academics. It's a 'mind store' of free talks and a compelling starting point for co-operation, cross-pollenation of ideas and interdisciplinary engagement.

And it's a project designed and led by the University's students. You discover the nominees, you vote for the talks you want to see, you campaign and contribute to online content to spread the word about your favourite talks and you chart the path Inspiration & Co takes through a horizon-expanding breadth of experiences.
