Sheffield Gain First Purple Flag Accreditation
Sheffield city centre has undergone a dramatic transformation over the past decade which has produced some of the best public spaces in the country and thus have been accredited with a Purple Flag.
The city's essence is best described by the fact that you can be in a cosmopolitan city centre which has over 15,000 residents, two large Universities, a thriving business sector and a strong independent retail sector, all serviced by one of the countries first modern Tram systems and then within 15 minutes you can be in the Peak District National Park.
