The majority of the much loved weekly club night events including ROAR, Population & Pop Tarts will be sharing their home with Space from September, which already takes play inside the University of Sheffield Students' Union venue, The Octagon. This is a temporary move whilst the Students' Union Foundry & Fusion venue undergoes extensive refurbishment over the next academic year.
'Sheffield Students' Union is continually voted as one of the best in the country and the Entertainment & Events team will be pulling all the stops to ensure lasers, lights, visuals and sounds will be of an exceptional standard, providing the most incredible nights out in Sheffield.'
'As with every year exciting changes to the program are added from time to time to the huge breadth of events the Students' Union showcases for students and Sheffield residents.' - Sara Moon, Students' Union Development Officer.
All the latest updates will be released via www.sheffieldsu.com/nightsout / www.facebook.com/nightsout.sheffield and @nightsoutSU on twitter.
The Tuesday Club and Climax will also temporarily move venues from September whilst the refurbishment is underway. After 14 years The Tuesday Club nationally known as a specialist music night centered around credible, underground electronic and live music will be hosting many of its weekly club events at the Leadmill. Over the years The Tuesday Club guests have included Radio One DJs such as Annie Mac, Zane Lowe, Skream and Benga as well as 'Number One' selling artists Nero, DJ Fresh and Rudimental.
After exploring all available options the Tuesday Club team plumped for The Leadmill, also steeped in musical history, to continue to offer the most exciting new music for dance lovers, whilst making use of the venue's excellent facilities to deliver the high-octane, production led shows the crowd expect.
The first Tuesday Club event at The Leadmill will be on Tuesday 18th September and features Sheffield's own Toddla T and his newly instated BBC Radio 1 colleague Mosca. Also on the bill will be white-hot drum and bass talent Loadstar. Climax, Yorkshire's biggest Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual and Trans clubbing experience will temporarily move to Hallam Hubs from September, having already run two hugely successful events there over the past year to celebrate Sheffield Pride.
Not only will there be a change of venue, the dates will also change as Climax moves to the last Friday of the month, rather than the third Friday. The first official Climax event at The Hubs, Paternoster Row, Sheffield, will be held on Friday 28th September with Radio One's Scott Mills as special guest. Then the last Friday of every month, full details will be release on the Facebook page: www.facebook.com/sheffield.climax
