On Saturday 21st July, crowds were captivated at Sheffield's Tramlines Festival, with an extended musical masterpiece, consisting of two back to back shows, curated exclusively by Toddla T hosted around the University campus.
This weekend saw Toddla T making an evolutionary step with his annual contribution to the UK's best metropolitan festival, 16 hours of non-stop music, delivered by a lineup curated in its entirety by Toddla, merging underground future talents and current superstars of the electronic dance scene.
The event began on the Students' Union Concourse at midday, and closed at The Octagon at 4am Sunday morning.
The daytime event, running from midday until 9pm, was an education in house music for the 1,500 or so revellers in attendance, with the sun surprisingly shining on the righteous throughout. Our own Tuesday Club residents warmed up the decks luring people in from all over the city.
The Tramlines Festival is an award winning annual music festival that takes place in Sheffield. The festival is free to attend, and the line-up consists of national and local artists. The festival is curated and organised by a panel comprising local venue owners, promoters and volunteers.
