Celebrating Excellence - Forge Media Win 'Best Student Media' at the NUS Awards 2012

Now in their fifth year, the NUS Awards highlight the achievements of students' unions, students' union staff and officers as well as individual students from across the UK.

Sheffield Students' Union were up for many awards including 'Student Journalist of the Year', 'Higher Education Students' Union of the Year' and 'Best Student Media' and on the night Forge Media picked up the 'Best Student Media' award.

'Forge Press has increased its focus on campaigning journalism and they have provided a method of holding the University and Students' Union decision makers to account. Dramatically increasing their audience and volunteer growth across the student body, Forge Media are an excellent example of an inclusive; focus driven and dedicated team of student media professionals.'
