Students Receiving Fraudulent Emails
Look out! Students have recently reported to have received several fraud emails from a 'company' claiming to be the Students Loan Company. The email directs recipients to a website claiming to be http://www.studentfinance.direct.gov.uk, which then actually redirects to a fraudulent website.
You can check the location of a URL by hovering over the link and looking at the bottom bar of your browser - this should show you where the link will take you. If this location is not as the link shows then please do not open the link.
The email, with the subject 'Student Notification Update!' looks like this:
