
The University of Sheffield Students' Union has achieved the gold standard after being named one of the country's top green campuses.
We NUS have been working closely with UKCISA and other education sector organisations to lobby the government on the proposed change of Tier 4 students visas. Among our membership, there is strong concern about the provision to cancel Post Study Work Visa.
On the day after parliament voted in favour of trebling university tuition fees, students in Sheffield feel angry and betrayed by Clegg and his party.

As part of the Students’ Union’s drive to improve biodiversity and go for Green Impact Gold award glory, we have bought a stake in a UK beehive, ladybird tower and a butterfly tower for our own garden.
We advise anybody going out to any Students' Union events to only do so if they are confident of getting to their destination and back home easily and safely on foot.
