Ecclesall Road/Hunter's Bar, Sheffield

Ecclesall Road and Hunter's Bar (made famous by the Arctic Monkeys) are home to many students from both the University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University. This diversity has lead to a fantastic and cosmopolitan atmosphere around the area and is therefore a very popular area to live, shop and socialise in. Endcliffe Park is situated at the end of Ecclesall Road on the way into Hunter's Bar and is perfect for chilling out and having fun with your friends.

If going out for dinner is on your mind, there are a range of restaurants to tickle your fancy, whether you're out with friends or on a hot date. There is also a mixture of quirky cafes for you to drop into and have lunch and offers individuality that is rarely seen outside London.

There are also many shops and boutiques, selling everything from clothes, shoes and accessories to goodies for you to decorate your room with. Combine this with a range of food shops and you have everything you need in one place. Students from the University of Sheffield may have to travel a bit further to and from university every day but for the great atmosphere, unique services and shops on offer it is worth it, and there are regular bus routes that run around the area. One thing is certain; the area is so popular with students that you are never alone around here!
