Your voice can be pretty powerful when it's joined with 24,000 others.
Our key role is to be a strong student voice for the interests of students at the University of Sheffield. We work to make sure that your views are heard by the university, across the city and on national and international issues.
We're also a member of the National Union of Students (NUS) so we can speak up for students at Sheffield at a national level.
As a member, you also have a voice in running your Students' Union. All of our big decisions are made by the students you elect, or directly by you voting.
Your 8 full-time Student Officers work throughout the year to represent you and lead the Students' Union. Meet this year's team and discover more about them and their objectives here.
We have a Students' Union Council, comprising of students from all University departments. It's their job to make big decisions on issues and policies surrounding the Students' Union.
Our network of over 750 student representatives across the campus, represent you on issues at course level (Course Reps) all the way up to faculty level (Faculty Reps).
You could even get more involved in running your Students' Union by becoming a representative yourself.
We always want to hear what you want to improve, so let us know. You have the power to make change; within your Students' Union and beyond!
