Sheffield Students' Union has many spaces and opportunities for international students to connect with one another and with students from the UK.
We create the events and spaces that bring people together. They offer a great opportunity to meet new people and there are several events created exclusively for International Students.
Don't worry if you don't make friends instantly. You can meet like-minded students throughout term by joining one of our student groups, participating in one of hundreds of activities, or by attending one of our International events. You also might want to consider joining your International Students' Committee to help organise even more social activities for International students.
You can also be social online. Many UK students use the website Facebook to socialise with friends and contacts. You may find it beneficial to set up a profile through Facebook to connect with us and other students.
