At long last the day you thought would never come has finally arrived! All the hard work you’ve put in has paid off and you deserve to celebrate. It’s your day and we want you to enjoy it as much as possible so we’ve put together this short guide to help you get the most out of it.

Hello,
And congratulations! We hope you have had the time of your life at The University of Sheffield and we sincerely hope that the Students’ Union has played a big part in your time here.
Receiving a degree from a world-renowned University like ours is a huge achievement and I hope that your Graduation is a fitting celebration for your success. As I’m sure you know, Graduation is more than just one day and night; it’s a week long celebration from Saturday 17th until Saturday 24th July. It gives you the chance to celebrate with all your friends from other departments and show your family where you’ve been spending the last few years (and your student loan!).
The University of Sheffield Union of Students is famously the best Students’ Union in the country and has proved it by winning more awards this year. Everyone gets involved in different ways, but one thing is the same across the board - your Students’ Union will always be here for you. So whether we’ve been able to help you out during trickier times, or you’ve had the time of your life at our club nights, we hope that you’ll always have fond memories of your time here. In fact, during your Graduation Week your favourite club nights will all be here for some final fun times with your friends and a chance to say ‘goodbye for now’ to your Students’ Union. You’ve done fantastically well to reach this far. After some long hours in the IC, as well as making friends for a lifetime, laughing at brilliant quotes, playing sports, joining societies and having great nights out, you’ve reached the end of your time here and it’s time to say goodbye. So do it in style!
