Congratulations from your President

Graduation is, simply put; special. There are so few days in life where you are surrounded by a room full of applause. Applause from your peers, from your family and friends and from a stage full of Professors and Doctors. It's acknowledgement for your freshly acquired understanding, and for the positive difference between the person you arrived as, and the person you are leaving us as.

The Students' Union is not the building, it is the community of students who mingle, mix, create and engage with societies and sports clubs, meet up in Coffee Revolution, and turn to the Student Advice Centre in moments of uncertainty. You have made this Students' Union once again the best in the country with a 95% satisfaction rate. For simply offering, even if occasionally, the pleasure of your presence, I thank you on behalf of the Students’ Union and add our applause and honest congratulations to the sound inside the Octagon on this most special of days.
