Welfare Committee

Details

Welfare Commitee consists of a group of students who aim to raise the awareness of the welfare issues affecting the students of Sheffield. We meet weekly to organise and run exciting campaigns and events in the Union, University and Student Villages to engage students on a range of welfare issues from housing and mental health to alcohol awareness and student money.

Over the last year our events have included:

  • Sharing our knowledge and experience of student housing at the Union's Housing Fair
  • Helping students beat the winter blues with our Winter Well Being campaign
  • Helping students find new house mates at our annual House Mate Finder event
  • Sharing our money saving tips during National Student Money Week
  • Raising awareness of the number of units in our favourite alcoholic drinks during our Alcohol Awareness Campaign and pub quiz.
