Welfare Committee

Details

The Welfare Committee consists of students who meet weekly during term time to discuss issues we think affect the welfare of students at Sheffield University. From here we organise campaigns and events to raise awareness amongst the student body ranging from housing and mental health to sexual health and general well-being. Working with the Welfare Officier, Student Advice Centre and other committees, we work hard to ensure all students are represented and know how to get help on the issues that affect them!

Its role is to represent all student views on all the Union welfare services.

This year we have held many campaigns, including:

  • Safety Week within the residences
  • Housing Fair and Smart Move Campaign
  • Housing Roadshow at the residences
  • Nightline Awareness Week
  • Winter Wellbeing Campaign (LAUNCH - Thursday 1st December!)
