UNICEF, the United Nations Children's Fund, works to promote children's rights and to provide the world's most vulnerable children with education, healthcare, food, clean water, shelter and sanitation. It is the world's leading organisation for children's rights. 

In addition to its development work, UNICEF is currently providing emergency provisions to those caught in the famines in East and West Africa as well as supporting victims of the Madagascar cyclone. 

This vital work relies entirely upon donations; the organisation receives no funds from the United Nations. It is neither political nor religious; its agenda being solely to protect the rights of the world's children.  

UNICEF On Campus Sheffield aims to raise funds for UNICEF's important work, while also promoting awareness of children's rights and of the problems that the world's children face today.
