Sheffield is twinned with Estelí, Nicaragua (one of the poorest countries in Latin America). We are the student branch of this twinning. We fundraise for projects at the university in Estelí and run a yearly cultural exchange trip.

Fundraising: We run a variety of events throughout the year to raise money for the exchange trip and projects at the university in Estelí. Our current projects are furthering the cultural exchange and making university education accessible to poorer members of the population.

The Exchange trip: Each year a group of Sheffield students travel to Estelí and you could be one of them. Sheffield students teach English and exchange cultures with the university students in Estelí. Both Nicaraguan students and Sheffield students run workshops to learn more about each other's cultures, make new friends and try something new.
