There are around 33 million HIV/AIDS sufferers worldwide. Over 2.9 million people died in 2006 alone (that's around 8000 people EVERY DAY). Yet over 75% of adults and 90% of children are not receiving treatment.
Most of those not receiving treatment are in developing countries and simply cannot afford it. People are dying because of this.
In 2005, the UK government led World leaders into promising HIV treatment for all by 2010. Currently they are not keeping their promise. We must make sure they do.
Student Stop AIDS is a society campaigning for universal access to HIV
