Student Christian Movement is an ecumenical/nondenominational society that explores Christian faith in an open-minded and non-judgmental environment. SCM does not have a doctrinal statement (a statement that expresses what SCM believes) and does not promote a given set of beliefs - instead, we seek to offer an open, non-threatening environment in which people can think through their faith, raise doubts, and explore questions.
We are part of a national organisation that is:
We meet on Thursdays during term-time. Join us from 6:00-8:30pm for tea/coffee (or dinner on Guest Speaker nights), discussion and night prayer. Dinner costs Ł1.50 (first time free) and is always vegetarian. Allergies can be catered for provided we know in advance, so please don't hesitate to share a meal with us!
Meetings take place downstairs at Broomhill Methodist Church - you can join us by coming in through the Ashgate Road entrance (at the back of the church) or through the Fulwood Road entrance (at the front of the church) and walking down the stairs.
