We aim to:

• Create a community of students who study Portuguese within the School of Languages and Cultures

• Celebrate the culture of Portuguese Speaking Communities Worldwide through events and socials relating to the heritage of these countries.

• Forge links between native Portuguese speakers studying in Sheffield and non-native speakers (or those who wish to learn) through linguistic events, and integrate both groups into one community, to encourage speaking Portuguese on Campus.

• Work with related societies who have common aims and objectives, to diversify the involvement of the societies in Portuguese and Lusophone events and socials.

From September, we will have monthly society meals in Nando's on West Street - the first Sunday of each month, unless otherwise rearranged.
One or many members of our society will regularly be around the languages department in Jessop West, from September, look out for our committee hoodies and introduce yourself to us!
Our society costs 3 pounds to join - you will receive a membership card, and this will give you discounts to some of our events!
