Who are we?

The University of Sheffield Pool and Snooker Society, voted Most Improved Society in the 2012 Activities Awards.

No previous experience required - All abilities are welcome!

We are proud to be continuing our partnership with The Common Room on Devonshire St., as well as our latest partner, Riley's Hunter's Bar.

Members of the society receive a 'High Society' card, entitling them to Common Room discounts 24/7, plus free membership at Riley's with 25% off food, drink and table hire, all the time!

When do we meet?

We meet every Wednesday evening from 7.30pm until about 11pm at the Common Room, where we play American 8-ball pool as well as 9-ball pool.

There are plans in place for snooker nights (with the opportunity to play English pool too) at Riley's, our brand new partners! - Our inaugural event went really well and we hope we can continue to have a great relationship with Riley's Hunters Bar.

Socials 

Socials will be held throughout the year.

Our first social was a huge success and we hope that all those who came enjoyed it as much as we did!

Plans for the next socials are in the pipeline; so keep your eyes peeled!

Membership is £5 for the year, but it entitles you to play pool completely FREE during our sessions at the common room, and gets you discounted price on drinks there all week long!

The one-off membership fee entitles you to:

·         free pool at the Club Night every Wednesday* at the Common Room - 7.30-10pm

·         free snooker and English pool at our snooker evenings

·         free Riley's membership with 25% off food, drink and table bookings at any time!

·         a 'High Society 2012/13' card  entitling you to Common Room discounts 24/7

·         'Social' tickets at members' prices

·         society e-newsletters with news on socials, events and exclusive tournaments

There is also the possibility of representing your University as part of a team with a growing reputation in BUCS events!
