The Persian Society of the University of Sheffield (PSUS) is a non-political and not-for-profit student organisation promoting awareness of Iranian culture, art and life organised by Iranian students at University of Sheffield. The group provides a platform for celebrating Persian cultural events such as Yalda Night, Charshanbesoori and most of all Persian New Year (Norooz). Furthermore, PSUS arranges events such as Fresher's Party, day trips, trips around the UK and walks in the countryside. We also participate at the University of Sheffield's International events such as Introfiesta and Food Night.Our football team finished at the 3rd place in 2008-2009 league.In 2010, 2011 and 2012 our proposals had been chosen for food festival and we have  participated in both subsequent years and we are planning to hold on that. Altogether we have around 300 Persian and non Persian members most of them from University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University.
