Here is a warm welcome from the Management society and a BIG well done on getting a place at Sheffield University! Our main priority is to ensure you have the ultimate experience, make new lifelong friends and gain as many rewards as possible from your time here at Sheffield. We believe joining the management society is the best way to acquire all three!!!

WHATS ON OFFER?

SOCIALS-After the mayhem of Fresher's Week, we'll be kicking off our ManSoc socials with our traditional White T-shirt Bar Crawl on the 27th September, which are always amazing! So t-shirts on and sharpies at the ready and enjoy plenty of free drinks on us!

We will be putting on at least one social a month with all sorts of themes...you name it we'll be doing it! Our socials have a reputation of being the biggest and best amongst the University. We have a high number of non-management members too!!
We've also got lots of other events, like GoApe, ice-skating, theatre trips, cinema trips, bowling and indoor paintballing. We have a BBQ (date tbc) which will be a great opportunity to meet lots of other management fresher students and the committee and to get a taster for the year ahead! So come along for a burger and a beer! Also, be sure to come along to the Activities Fair on (Thursday 20th September) for find out more about socials and membership.

 SPORT-Mansoc holds a great opportunity for everyone to get involved with sport. Mansoc currently manages many Hockey, Netball and Football teams for all standards of players.

Mansoc will hold sports trials in September/October (date to be announced on twitter and facebook).
We welcome all Mansoccers with any degree of experience to get involved and come along to trials, from beginners to competitive players.  Even if you just want to come along for a drink, we will be holding regular socials to get everyone involved. We will be announcing sponsors soon to help us pick up those bar bills!

CARREERS -Kick start your career  with ManSoc. If you're unsure of what you want to do after Uni or just want more information about your career choices Mansoc is here for you. Presentations from employers, careers fairs, competitions, CV writing sessions, skills development and employability enhancement sessions just some of what we offer. We are impressively sponsored by Ernst and Young and have links with BPP Education so there are lots of opportunities for you to network and expand your career options. Make the most of what's on offer to start as you mean to go on!

BOOKS-  Don't rush to buy books too early as we will be holding a book sale at the Management School with loads of second hand textbooks for great prices. So there's some great bargains to be had! Again, keep checking our social network sites for date confirmation on book selling events.

CHARITY AND VOLUNTEERING- 'With great power comes great responsibility'. Being as powerful as Mansoc is, we believe we have a duty to help out and raise money for charities wherever possible. Watch out for fun ways to get involved.

 EVENTS- So last year we joined 'Invasion' and invaded Leeds (our a chosen city in  UK for a night ), which has been quoted as 'the social of the year' .We also organised a very successful trip to Prague! This year we want to do something bigger and better and would love your suggestions on Facebook as to which cities and countries you would want to 'invade'. *Rumours of Berlin!* These invasions are massively subsidised, and often impossible to do any cheaper on your own! The annual trip abroad is really the icing on the Mansoc cake!

END OF YEAR BALL-The Mansoc ball is the perfect way to celebrate the end of your first, second or final year at Sheffield with all your new buds! With amazing food and free champagne (yes free!!), Mansoc ensures time and time again this is a memorable night for each memorable year!

MEMBERSHIP & ACTIVITY FAIR-
It's only £5 for your first year (or £10 for 3 years )and your membership card entitles you to great deals in Vodka Revs and Walkabout every day! Come along to the Activities Fair on 27th Sep to sign up or we will be at the Management School at certain times over the first couple of weeks, so make sure you keep your eyes on our social networks sites.
