University of Sheffield Islamic Circle, ISOC

Details

 Asalamualaykum,

USIC (University of Sheffield Islamic Circle) sets out to construct an atmosphere of knowledge on campus, whilst developing and nurturing the bonds of Islamic brotherhood and sisterhood to create a mini Ummah. Through inclusion of the University's entire diverse Muslim community as well as outreach (dawah) to those unaware of Islamic beliefs and practices, we aim to foster a progressive social atmosphere through which we can manifest our identity as active Muslim students.

Throughout the year, we organise large events, run study circles and invite in prominent scholars. We are here to provide support to all Muslim students on campus and achieve this through our 'Buddy Scheme' for freshers and also through close support and transparency between regular and committee members. Some of our regular events include:

-Freshers' Week Muslim events; Charity Week; Islam Awareness Week; Spring Camp; End-of-Yr socials and much more. We have Islamic lectures or weekend seminars on a wide range of topics by prominent scholars on a fortnightly basis as well as almost weekly Brothers' and Sisters' socials
