The Sheffield Universities Guild of Change Ringers is a small society of dedicated, fun-loving ringers! We always welcome new members whether you can already ring or not, and we have an experienced team who are always willing to teach. Bell ringing is great fun for people of all ages and abilities. You don’t have to be musical, or strong, but enthusiasm and patience always help! During term time, SUGCR ring at St. Marie’s Roman Catholic Cathedral in Sheffield City centre. Our (very relaxed) practice night is a Monday, 7:30pm - 8:00pm for learners, followed by the full practice for all until 9:30pm. Sunday service ringing is at 5:40pm until 6:30pm, also just during term time.

For those in the know, we have an advanced practice once a month with a two special methods - usually  surprise major and/or minor which we follow with a quarter peal that week.

Membership costs 5GBP per academic year, which includes membership to the Yorkshire Association of Change Ringers, weekly practices are free!
