The Sheffield Universities Guild of Change Ringers is a small society of dedicated, fun-loving ringers! We always welcome new members whether you can already ring or not, and we have an experienced team who are always willing to teach. Bell ringing is great fun for people of all ages and abilities. You don't have to be musical, or strong, but enthusiasm and patience always help!
We used to be based at St Marie's Roman Catholic Church, however this is closed for refurbishment at the moment and so instead we are joining other practices within Sheffield. At the moment the main practice we attend is Sheffield Cathedral on a Thursday night from 7:30-9pm, and this is where our first practice for this year will be, on Thursday 27th September 2012. If you would like to join us (total beginners welcome) you can either meet us outside the union box office at 7pm so we can show you the way, or if you'd rather, you can meet us outside the Cathedral (by Cathedral tram stop) at around 7:25pm. As well as going to the Cathedral practice some of our members also attend Walkley on a Monday night (7:30-9pm) we can give you more information on this when we meet up :-)
